A curving coastline of silken white sand and sun-sparkling turquoise ocean lure beach lovers to Marco Island all year long. There’s something for everyone, from beaches filled with endless activities and watersports to secluded stretches of sand dotted with palm trees and seashells. Here are some of the Island’s best-known beaches.

South Marco Beach

An access point lined with sabal palms leads to peaceful, uncrowded South Beach. Here, the water is inviting, and the sunsets are so spectacular that even the locals come to see them. Warm tidepools filled with seashells are nearby, and the shallow ocean makes for optimum snorkeling. Don't be surprised if the curious Snook swim right up to you. Be sure to bring your own beach supplies, as there are no vendors here. There’s no better way to cap off a day of sun and fun than with dinner at the nearby Sunset Grill.

Public Beach Access Points

One access point is at the intersection of South Collier Boulevard and Maple Avenue, right next to the JW Marriott Hotel. The second access point is at the intersection of South Collier Boulevard and Winterberry Drive, adjacent to Marriott’s Crystal Shores. Both public access points have vendors who rent jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards, beach chairs, and everything else you need for a day at the beach. You can also enjoy a delicious lunch at the hotel restaurants. Please note that parking is not available, and you can only access these public points on foot.

Tigertail Beach

This natural gem is filled with miles of powdery white sand, warm turquoise waters, and mangroves. Beach equipment rental and plenty of snack bars make it the island's favorite beach. Every day there's a new activity to try. Go exploring on stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, water trikes, or paddle boats. As part of the great Bird and Wildlife Trail, Tigertail Beach is home to some of the best birding in southwestern Florida. Set on a peaceful lagoon, the beach's shallow water makes it ideal for families with young children. With playgrounds and picnic areas, there’s no better setting for a family day at the beach.

Naples Beaches

A short ride takes you to Naples, the other gem of the Paradise Coast. Naples is known for its soft, white sands and calm, clear water, which is ideal for shelling and skimboarding. Naples has the perfect beach for every visitor, from popular beaches with full facilities to pet-friendly beaches to idyllic beaches where you can take long walks through secluded dunes.
